Lower ball joint fitment
On my 818S I am replacing my steel lower control arms for the aluminum ones that I sourced used. The problem is that the alum. arms clearly do not properly fit the ball joints that I already have mounted in the front suspension. The angle of the slope of the female holes in the alum. LCA's is different from the male pins of the ball joints. While researching options on the Rock Auto web site I learn that part number for the ball joints for either the steel or alum. LCA's is the same. It seems that a separate conical piece is used to mate the two. Anyone know if I can buy just the intermediary conical fitting?

Two reasons.
1. Your about the 5th guy to have this problem.
2. I'm addicted to this forum.
