    QA1's

If you use the QA1's as an alternate to FFR's stock, is there mods to the rear end or attachment points required (front or rear) for fitup? What lengths need to be purchased if I plan on using them instead of the FFR stocks?
    Thanks

I purchased a set of QA1 shocks and springs from Dan Ruth (Innovative Rodding Specialists). They were a direct bolt in and the fronts can be inverted for ease of adjustment.

I installed QA1-DD403 double adjustable shocks on the front but it took adding the longer spring caps #QA1-9018-113 to make them fit. These have to be run inverted as there is no room to run them with the body down. Even then, the standard spring caps will not fit as there is not enough space between the spring caps. The Proma Star shocks are 15" extended and 11.12" compressed. I also added cushions (bumpers) #QA1-BC02 as the front suspension has no bump stops and you don't want metal to metal contact at full bump. The shocks will accept up to 10" springs but with the longer spring caps I used 9" springs as they fit better. I selected the 350lb/in spring rate but will experiment with longer / lower spring rates once I get the car on the track. Can't help you with the rear as mine is a custom one-off design and will not be applicable to yours.
