Hard to tell 100% for sure but to me those look like the ECU and fuel pump controller relays. I would not delete them.

The Green plug relay is for the fuel pump, the Black plug relay is for the drive by wire relay, and White/Clear is for the Blower motor. You could delete the White/Clear if you are not using the Subaru HVAC system.

Its the electric relay that supplies power to the drive by wire throttle. Newer engines do not have cables that run to the the throttle bodies, small electric motors drive them instead.

For electronic controlled throttle (electronic setup accellerator pedal <> throttle position, electronic = "drive by wire" and making this one up... old school throttle cable would be "drive by cable" ).That relay supplies 12V to the ECM/throttle control circuit as a safety design to allow completely cutting off power to the throttle body motor so it can't open on a major fault.

You are correct. HVAC is just the heater and AC system.

BN, when you lengthen the DBW wires, do not do what I did! I cut the 6 wires, added similar wires and re-connected all 6 wires. Engine would not run right. Then, I learned about the dotted lines in the wiring diagram. The dotted wire means a shielded wire so be careful with Red, #6 on accelerator position sensor.

Also, be careful of other dotted lines, like the mass air flow sensor and oxygen sensors.

I would look at the wire colors and then search the PDF schematics for those colors.
