25th Anniversary - How much did I spend
I kept track of most of the bigger expenses. There was a ton of trips to Lowes/Home Depot that I didn't keep track off for bolts/caulking/etc... Nor did I include any tools I had to buy, since I can always use them again.
25th Anniversary kit $39,880
Kit delivered to GA $1,500
Engine/Transmission delivered $15,900
Tires and mount $1,595
Paint / body work $7,500
Lund Tune $800
Shifter from Ringbrothers $500
Then there was a ton of small extras that add up quick, including Front battery mount, battery, cowl cover, fan shroud, Trans tunnel, Ultrasuede, Seat Mounts, Lower radiator mount, Watsons turn signal, Floor mats, Car cover, Seat Heaters, Fire extinguisher and mount, Side mirrors, Side Pipe heat shield, all fluids for the car and probably a few more things.
All the small things added up to around 3000.
License and Title was cheap, $69 and I was out the door with a plate/title in GA.
So, right around $70,600 complete.......
Ouch, was more then I originally anticipated.
But if someone offered me close to that, I'd take it and do it all over again.

Late to the party.
Pardon me for asking, but why was the 25th Anniversary kit $39,880?
I know it comes with them fancy seats n'all, but what else?

$4k!?? Wow. Here you can get in and out with around $400 for tax, title, plates, VIN.

I feel for you! After leaving active duty in the USAF, I lived in Barrington and the outer northwest Chicago suburbs until I was able to escape. I'm in coastal SC now. The snow blower is an unheard of animal, people are friendly and costs are low. However, pay is also lower for many professions, but professionals tend to be closer than non-skilled. However, the cost of living more than made up for it with a nicer home, nicer neighborhood, friendly neighbors, no snow, there's an ocean with incredible beaches just around the corner, short ride to work, and I was able to pay off all our bills/mortgages much earlier. (And, you can register your car as a '65, LOL)
