    Gen 3 FFR #28 Coupe R Build

    Thunder Valley Racing
    Gen3 Coupe R-Model
    Chassis #002

    Here are some details:

    Coyote 5.0 Engine
    Aviaid Dry Sump System
    TKO 600R
    2015 Mustang IRS w/3.73 gears
    Wilwood 6-piston Brakes
    Competition Race Seats

The car is being prepared to full race spec, but will be street legal as well. Targeted completion date is April 30, 2017. We began the build last Friday (2/3) at Dave Pohli's shop in New Holland, OH.

I'll post photos when I get back to California, but have already added photos and video updates from last weekend's build on my Facebook page. This is my 5th Coupe (yes, I'm Coupe crazy), and to say I'm excited would be an understatement. Over the years, the Factory Five community has become an extended family to me, and I owe a debt of gratitude to all of the great folks who have been helped me along the way. Hank Lopez (Hankl, keeper of the coveted jackets here on the forum), and the small but mighty group of Coupe lovers/builders here, are keepers of the flame when it comes to the heritage of this car, and I am humbled to be even a small part of this amazing community!

"I, Coupe Mama, do swear, that upon acceptance of this "Revered Coupe Jacket", will willingly subject myself to all manner of frustration and abrasion that my FFR Type 65 will provide. I further pledge that any and all fellow Coupe builders will have free reign in using the cash available in my wallet as they see fit to improve my build plan. I will not look down upon our fellow Roadster builders, but rather take pity on those not talented enough to build a race car with a roof, So Help Me God!"

It is my pleasure to present you with the "Revered Coupe Jacket", Here's your sign!!

“If you didn’t have enough time to do it right the first time. How come you always have time to go back and do it again?” FFR1000186CP

Understeer is when you hit the wall with the front of the car and oversteer is when you hit the wall with the rear of the car.
Horsepower is how fast you hit the wall and torque is how far you take the wall with you.

Finding all these coupe builds exciting. Wondering if you are going to aero route like John and Mark or traditional body? Also what racing classes you'll be running in and any plans for engine tuning.
