Seats Sparco Evo II vs. Braum Venom R
Hey,
I am on the search for seats. I am a tall guy 6,4" 36 inch waist. I live in MA and it seem like there are no show rooms where you can test out Braum or Sparco seats. I am interested in the Sparco EVO II or EVO II US and the Braum Venom R's. Does anyone have experience or recommendations with these seats? They both look great, from good companies, but the Venom R's are half the price. From the sizing is seems like the Venom R's look more universal while the EVO's a more custom fit.
Thanks,
Nick

Do you need a DOT approved seat to register in MA?

I'm 6'4" 210, and I fit in the Sparco EVO !! . I have one I swap in and out of my Corvette for track days. It would be a pain as a Daily Driver seat having to pull myself up over the side bolster every time you hop in and out, but as a track seat it's great. The EVO II US is for the wider waisted guys but is probably not tall enough for you. . The Sparco USA website has all the measurements in a chart.
Is this for a race car or a street car? The reason being I don't see anywhere that the Braums are FIA approved race seats. The Sparco EVO II is FIA approved as a race seat. That also explains the price difference. Look at The non FIA Sparcos, they are a lot less expensive.
If you're interested in a price I can get you excellent pricing on Sparco seats.
