Any 1999-2004 Mustang GT, Bullitt, Mach1, or Cobra will have the pieces you need if you are using a Modular motor on your build.
Mark IV -- 04 Mach1 Donor -- 4.6 DOHC -- TKO 600 -- 3:55 Gears -- 3 Link - Hydroboost PS & PB -- 13" PBR's Front & 11.65's Rear -- Cuesta Wiring -- Thompson Signals -- FFR Radiator, heater, wipers, and catalytic converters -- Metco DS safety loop -- Forte 7/8" front bar -- VPM 3/4" rear bar -- Champ road race pan -- Corbeau A4 Seats -- Nitto NT-05's on 17 x 9's.
Ford went to the modular engine in 1996, so I think that any 1996-2004 Mustang GT would work. Or you could do what I did; I bought my hydroboost unit new from Hydratech.
You only need the hydro boost if you are using a 4.6 engine right???
I have one I don't need. I am doing a 427...
I went hydroboost because I added power steering, wanted power brakes, and didn't want to modify my frame to accommodate a vacuum booster. And I don't have a mod engine.
Is this option only available if you are using a 4.6? I would like to use a 302 or 351 in my car with a power steering and power breaks.
I am using a 98 Mustang Cobra donor, including the hydroboost/master cylinder setup. I have not completely plumbed the system yet. I am also using a remote reservoir setup. I scrapped the OEM lines with all the odd fittings and had some more conventional hydraulic fittings and braided lines made up.HB 1.jpgHB 2.jpgHB 3.jpg

Here's a photo from 2005 showing my hydroboost unit.
I used Hydratech's unit in our build with a 427 Windsor. With their billet adapter it bolts right up to the Fox or SN-95 pedal box. If you are using the Wilwood pedal box I believe the only option for hydroboost is the conversion kit from Mike Forte.
I love ours. Compact, great braking power, etc. If you do go with a donor assist unit I HIGHLY recommend ditching the big stock hoses that usually need to be modified anyway and at LEAST order the hose kit from Hydratech. They are cut-to-length braided lines with a box full of fittings and adapters for the assist unit and the rack to make connections a breeze!
HTH...
