    Heated Seat Pads

    Hi All:

I purchased heated seat pads a while back. I am concerned about how the back pad is held
in place to the foam or the vinyl/leather backing or just let the pad float between the foam
and the cover. Any experience or knowledge you may have would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks Much.

You can use 3M Super 77 spray contact adhesive Mack.

If there is just a little extra vinyl/leather edge on the back side of the seams in the cover, a few loops of thread sewing the edge of the heater pad into position will do the job. Sew each spot you can across the top and maybe one on each side 2/3 of the way down and it will be fine. Don't pull your stitches tight, you want it to be able to float a little to accomodate the seat changing shape when you get in and out. Lexus used those tiny pieces of plastic thread often used to put small tags on clothing, the ones that are about 3/8 inch long w/ a 1/4 inch Tee on both ends. )----(
