Mkiv trunk lid on a mrk2?

Im working on a mrk2 and need a trunk lid. Im using Breeze hinges but need to know if i can massage a mrkiv trunk to fit. I know the mrk3 guys did but FFR parts dept specifically states the mrk 4 wont fit a mrk 1 or 2. Thanks

I thought it was the hood that would not fit. Pretty sure the trunk will. Don't buy one solely on my advice though. Mike

Ok. Another question on the trunk...
I got the weatherstrip that everyone recomends from mcmaster carr. I have to grind the entire down return off the trunk opening to fit this. This will really reduce the strength of the opening. Is this what everyone does?20170217_184722.jpg

You want to use the bulb seal Mike Everson sells. It's self adhesive.
