"UNREAL" was my original plate, but it's now on my wife's '67 Camaro. I liked the play on words, though, with it on my FFR. But, I switched so she could have it and then I went with a regular antique plate so that I could run a "year of manufacture" plate. In Illinois, if your car has antique plates, you can run any real or replica plate that is from the year for which the car is registered. in my case, the state allowed me to register the car as a '65, so I now run the replica of Shelby's manufacturer plate with a '65 sticker.

25SB89P is a great combination if you tend to speed.

While it means absolutely nothing, the combination is quite hard to read at speeds that may or may not be above the posted limits and is almost impossible to read if you are dyslexic.
In addition, since a very low percentage of the population know what a Cobra or Daytona is, their calls to 911 will likely be a little "Insert Color Here" car blew past me at "Insert MPH Here" and > > >

THIS E-COMMUNICATION CANNOT BE USED AGAINST ME IN A COURT OF LAW BECAUSE IT WAS JUST INTENDED TO BE A JOKE!

I kept it simple and polite with 65VENOM. Have you checked the DMV for your State to see what is taken? Love the antique plate Chris was able to get. No luck here in Maine getting it registered as a 65.

I recall an old magazine article that showed a real one with the plate "HISSSS" I'm guessing because that's the sound a snake makes.
Or you could go trouble maker. RUQIOR. Are you quicker?

New to the community, in the planning stage for an MKIV after a lengthy gestation period so I'm pretty new to all of this, aka low in experience but high in enthusiasm.

Some cool plates of not my origin:
    COBRAJET
    XHILR8
    URSLOWR
    LITNING
    SKEDADL
    DIDNTW8
    GOTOPLS

I have been binge reading your build thread. I must say I have been very impressed with your work AND your tenacity in working through the harness issues. Will be referencing your lessons learned when I start my build. (You know this is an honest heartfelt compliment, because I'm a TN Vol, (living in FL), so complementing a War Eagle is painful!) Just kidding of course. I'm looking forward to seeing your car when it gets home from paint.

Since this thread got revived I will post what I decided on. This is the temporary tag. Didn't have a picture handy of the permanent one. Went with this because of my aviation background and the stick shifter I used which is a control stick from my Dads Air Force jet from 1968.

    Scott,

I keep drooling every time I see pictures of your car! It looks even better in person, as I can attest!

When I registered my MK3 many years ago, the license plate the local tag office gave me read: HA5CSX
It was just the luck of the draw but blew my mind that CSX would show up!

My family bought this for me for Father's Day last year.

I WAS going to order F5R5369 which is my frame # (minus the "100") or FFR5369. I'll keep this one I think...

I'll play since this thread is back again. New build legal for several months now. It's already been to the Open House in Wareham and London. Only 600 miles to date (crummy spring this year with a bunch of our events rained out) but an awesome car to drive.
