    Rear brakes question

    Hi all,
Yesterday I had a question about the front brakes.
Today it’s about the rear ones.
Please refer to the attached pic.
Very very tight fit between the pads and disk.
And the spring for the hand brake has no play.
I can turn the disk by rotating the diff shaft receiver but I have to put some force on it.
So again, is this normal or should it spin freely?
Also, as you can see on the pic I didn’t have to use any shim, so was I lucky or there is something wrong?
    TIA

I have the IRS brakes, so a bit different but I needed to compress the brake piston in the caliper with a C-clamp in order to get clearance for mine. Not sure if you are having the same issue but I could certainly see the piston being out just a bit which eliminates the clearance between the pads and the rotor. Kind of a pain to pull it apart but you should not really need to take the pads out to squeeze the piston in the caliper. Hope that helps.
