    State Registration

In Wisconsin, you can register your cobra under the Hobbyist License Plate Application. And, there are 4 categories, Street Modified, Reconstructed Vehicle, Replica Vehicle or Homemade Vehicle. The plates cannot be customized and will state Hobbyist with an assigned number. The Replica category can be used for vehicles at least 20 years old and appears not to be subject either physical nor emissions inspection. Is anyone familiar with Wisconsin's application and/ or does this sound familiar to other state application choices?

I have no knowledge of Wis law but recommend the Replica Vehicle registration. This is closest to what other states use so, down the road, will be important. The general rule for most states is that they title a car the way it was titled in the state it came from. I hope you can title it as a 65 Replica.

Same for me, no state knowledge. But here is my $.02

Register as a replica. It is what the car truly is, and no stigma attached.

Street modified - On anything besides a hotrod, this would scare me away.
Reconstructed - That screams wrecked car, or salvage. It could even go all the way up to two wrecked cars cut in half and welded together. Yes, junkyards and body shops actually do this.
Homemade - For one-off vehicles. Like Edd China's couchmobile.

Jay - I agree with the others. Best if your title lists it as a 1965, too, so that if you ever move or sell it out of state, it may help facilitate registration in the other state.

Awesome, I thought so but always like to ask. I move forward with registration.

Chris, If I send you a video or my latest test drive, could you post it for the group to see? Just asking as I could never seem to master video posting.
