My Roadster is in the Houston Auto Show!

My Roadster was invited to be in the Houston Auto Show. The car is in the lobby, so it will be one of just a handful of "classic cars" everyone will see before entering the main show.

Here's a couple of pics from Monday afternoon when I dropped off the car. It took a lot of self-control to resist leaving a couple of long black streaks on that clean, polished floor!

The show runs April 5 (today) through April 9 (Sunday) at the NRG Center.

That is pretty awesome. Congrats. Will they be roping the area off or will people be right up on the car?

That's too cool, and beautiful color combo. That is the same basic color combination I plan to do on a 289, with added nose and side strips in a gunmetal metallic. I've been going to that hall for the Offshore Technology Conference for years, got out of it for the last one this year before I retire. Hopefully it will be roped off. Kids were climbing on the one at the Cleveland auto show we were raffling off, and it was roped off, and we were standing there!

Congrats looks like you had an awesome build. The color is one that really caught my attention for my own build, not committed yet.

    Back home again

My cobra is back home, sleeping well in it's own garage.

When I went to the show Sunday evening to bring it home, some employees from "Ultimate Classic Cars" (formerly Lone Star Classics) were looking it over very thoroughly and asking me lots of questions. They had a display at the show. Too bad Factory Five wasn't at the show also - would have made a good side by side comparison.

What do you say, Dave Smith? Maybe next year's Houston Auto Show? I'll give you a great tour of NASA while you're here!
