    383 ftw!

I was doing a final clean of the garage ready for the 33 to arrive and found this original gem from a decade ago!

Finally I'll get to use it..

Just got my New Dart SHP 4.125 Block for my 33. I am building a SBC 400, AER 210 Heads, thumper Hydraulic roller cam and EZ EFI. This is a mild build at 500HP, nothing like my fire breathing 532HP solid roller 383 I have in my 69 Camaro. I found some headers for SBC that have 1-3/4 primaries. Summit has Sanderson Headers CC1-134-P - Sanderson Headers Blockhugger Headers for hot rods. This would be a help for large HP SBC.

Well good luck on your build

You Two Have A Big Fan Down Here!

Also, please remember that the head bolt holes on the Dart Block are bind.
Make sure they are clean of everything, especially making sure that there is no oil in the head bolt holes, so that you don't hydraulic the block & crack it.

Again, You Two Have A Big Fan Down Here!

Ugh sounds great Tom! I built a lovely 383 with full roller and dry sump but life made me sell that a few years back. Your motor will be fun.

And good to know Steve! Still not sure if I'll build the next one - there seem some good vendors nowadays - but I'll file that away somewhere. Building motors is fun

Have you tried the Sanderson Headers? I'd love to go to larger primaries. Looking at those headers though my issue with the ones FFR recommended was that the swept back header hit the firewall on the passenger side. The collector/down pipe needs to be back between the 5 and 7 and 6 and 8 plugs. I had to cut the collectors off and rearrange them to the huge style.

I have a really cool set of zoomies with Harley Davidson Mufflers but I cannot use them cause my driveway is too high.
