    73 Mustang Suspension

Someone wants to donate my company a 73 mustang. If its in good shape, I check it out in a few hours, I will take it. We need a practice car to work on and free is great. My question is what kind of suspension I would need to consider if I plan on making it track capable. I understand the pros and cons of restoring an old car for track use, but its more the experience and practice. That said, I have no idea where to start my research. Thank you.

Take a look at www.mustangsplus.com - they are a parts and restoration place for Mustangs and they do lots of track-day stuff. Should be able to set you up with both original-style rebuild parts and performance stuff. Their catalog also includes quite a few how-to articles on installing their products and improving different aspects of the car, like handling, braking, and power.
    Later,

I'm a member of the 7173 Mustang Forum. "71 Custom Widebody kit from scratch" is my build thread. Lots of knowledgeable people to help with any build. Good luck.

Please give me a call, I have built many many Mustangs for racing, pro touring and such. There are several levels of suspension and brake systems you can use depending on the build.
