    Wayne,

I'll to get off and slide down the VIR. It would be fun to catch some grassroots racing. If it looks like I can get there, I'll try to look you up. Maybe you could use an extra gofer. Thanks for the info. Best of luck!

Well test day 2 is in the books. Added an oil cooler, reducted the intercooler, and put on a fresh set of hoosier A7 and test ended up pretty well. Man the A7's hook up over the old Yokohamas...

Wayne is it fair to say that turbo lag with the FMIC is not an issue? Thoughts on that?

Not sure why my youtube video isn't embedding... Anyone know? I click the "insert video" button, paste the youtube URL in, and all I get is the link above.
I had the same problem in another forum, you have to manually take the s out of https.

(video=youtube;quQyp9AENss)https://youtu.be/quQyp9AENss(/video) is the text line you need to embed that video. Replace the parentheses with brackets to make it work

The first 2 laps are under yellow but that third lap I was moving pretty fast by start finish.

Here's another video. I was having to lift just past start finish to keep from going over the sound limit at the sound check station.

What does that car have for a muffler? What is the sound limit at RRR?

Car look and runs fast. Great job building and driving.
Is the FP gauge on the left of the screen Fuel Pressure? Why is it bouncing between 30 and 70?

Thanks Wayne. Looks like I will have to put some sort of muffler on mine. Thought maybe the turbo would muffle it enough to keep it under 103db, guess not.

    Bob
Because the fuel pressure is referenced to manifold pressure

I was 108 dB one pass but the mic was not 50 ft from the track either.

I was 102db here at NCM before I installed a small racing muffler with my JDM twin scroll set up, I am now 97ish on a 3rd gear pull around 6900.

    Bob
The FPR maintains the same pressure differential across injector so the ratio of pulse width vs fuel flow remains constant. So when the manifold pressure goes down so does the fuel pressure. Conversly when the motor is making 22 psi of boost the fuel pressure goes up to 65 psi.

Was the oil getting a bit hot at the end? It seemed to climb steadily.

Great video btw, it's fun to watch it pass everything on the track.

Wayne: Can you remind me again where you ended up with oil cooling? After my cam shaft seizure, and the fact that I couldn't get my oil above 190F on a 104F day, I am thinking of going with only the back Setrab cooler with a fan and vents ported to the side scoops. I am going to be somewhere around 325-350 HP. Dry sump and minimum of 5 quarts in the reservoir. Chad installed front coolers, and I am planning on leaving them in, but plumbing around them for now. BTW. Your car was awesome on the track. I admire your skill. Rob

I pulled off/let off when the oil got to 240. I see 260+ on the new video when you really push it after a short time. Do you plan on doing more to cool it? Once I went to the different oil pump, it fixed my oil temp issue. I should have done that first instead of adding 3 coolers....

Rob- The rear one should be fine now, if not just connect one at a time. You should not need to make any oil lines if I remember correctly. I did them in a series, so I think I just added on with adapters.
    Thanks- Chad

Chad, which oil pump did you switch to? I wonder why it helped the cooling? Maybe by increasing the amount of flow?

Ahhhh, I'm starting to recall a bit..... when he went down, he didn't go down FROM stock, he went back TO stock right? IE stock is 10mm, he originally had an 11mm on it, then went back to 10mm?

    Looking good on the track!
Curious on the make and weight of oil your running in the engine?
Hate to cause a heated debate, as everybody is running the best oil right?
