    Testing new style headlights?

I'm testing all the lights prior to installing them but can't get the headlights to light up. Seems simple, the light bulbs have two prongs, connect one to positive and one to negative and it should light up right? Well they don't. The high/low beam shutter works as expected.

    What am I missing?

Is that the case for both bulbs? You might just have one dead bulb. Also are you directly connecting to a battery for your test?

Yes, tried both. I'm using a AC to DC converter outputting 12V. I'll try a car battery, but it should not make any difference. The other bulbs I tested worked fine with the AC to DC converter.
