    Warmseats heated seat wiring question

I purchased the waterproof Warmseats for my FFR but have a question on the wiring. Every time I turn on the seats the fuse blows immediately. I took apart the wiring bundle which plugs into the relay and found the following.

    IMG_0219.JPG

On the left you can see the power input wires. On the right is the output to the heating pads. The lower center is the switch. In this setup power flows into the system through the input red wire and travels to the center of the switch. If the switch is placed in the low setting power is able to come up the white wire to the relay. If placed in high power travels up the yellow wire.

The only thing I changed in this system from stock was tie together the upper and lower heating pad output wires so I only had to run two wires to the seats instead of four. Both blacks tie together until splitting again at the seat and both reds tie together until splitting again at the seat.

What is confusing is that they have the yellow wire tied directly to the output black and red wires. This essentially is shorting out the system and blowing the fuse.

Any thoughts or input? Am I doing something wrong? Does anyone have the schematic of how this system is supposed to work?

Your relay should be getting the 12v source and then the trigger wire(s) should be going to your heater switches. What is the yellow wire in your picture?
