Lizard Skin Storage
I'm in the process of coating the interior with Lizard Skin. Not sure of my final plans for the trans tunnel cover so I was planning to save some of the Lizard Skin and apply that to the cover later. After opening the tub and spraying the interior I'm thinking that stuff might set up even sealed in the tub. Anyone have experience with storing a partially used tub of Lizard Skin for a couple of months?

It should not set up in the original container, as long as it's tightly sealed. Scrape the excess from the sides down into the container, or it might dry-out. It's not that much different than latex paint or the modern latex based stucco finish layer. I've used stucco from 5 gallon containers that was 5 years old.

If the lid is tight and you store in a reasonably temperate location, you shouldn't have any trouble. I had a similar situation with my build. I didn't use the last bit of the Lizardskin for some months after the initial application. I kept the sealed partly used buckets in my basement, and they didn't appear changed at all when I used the material later. All good.
