CONGRATS to you Scott. Having Dave Smith use you newly finished car in their Summer Sale add is a huge compliment. And you should be proud that Factory Five referenced your build thread on the forum. I personally thought your thread was the best one out there over the past year. Good job buddy. Hope you can make it to the Factory Five open house or the OCC show in London. I'm sure your car would be best is show winner.

Good things come to good people.

Thanks! I am now so happy I had the patience to wait for the next sale. I've been planning this for ~6 years. We have had a lot of bad stuff happen in my family in the past year, and it all got worse in March. My wife and I decided at the beginning of April, life's short, lets do this. The past 6 weeks have been a series, of "I'm just going to call and order the thing" and "No, just be patient".

I don't know what made me look at their website during my lunch yesterday, but first thing up was Scott's car with a message to "Be Like Scott With Our Huge Summer Sale". HOT DAMN! (And, yeah, congratulations Scott! That's pretty damn cool.) I called right away, but... Lunch. They were closed. So, I called again at 1:02, and badda bing badda boom, order in. I am order #122199.

My completion date is 7/1/17. Which now suddenly seems really, really soon. I'm going to Europe for work from 6/12 -23, and on a family vacation from 6/24-7/1. Add in that my wife and I are going to the Open House and will be gone 6/9 - 11, and suddenly, there's not much time between now and my completion date.

I will need to figure out how long it takes Stewart Transportation to get a kit delivered after the completion date (anything you can share, guys?). My engine (long block) will be ready for pick-up on 7/3, and my kit could be here shortly after. Again, holy crap. I better get out to the garage and start cleaning and prepping and building bucks, dollies, and assembling my cherry picker. DAMN!!!

BCrouse and Eespensen: Congrats back at you, guys! We're in this together at about the same time. Awesome! Can't wait to read your build plans, and compare solutions as we move through the process.

Ooooo, the open house. It would be seriously fricken' cool to see something, anything, staging with our name on it. That would be a serious photo op.

Stewart picked mine up within a week of being finished and it was on the truck for about a week. When they left the factory they made stops in Ohio, Arkansas, Texas and then made it to me in Alabama. I was the last one on that load. Mach'er I would think with you being in Michigan that would put you on the early side of the deliveries for that truck but I guess it all depends on where the others on that load will be heading. Exciting times for y'all. Since getting licensed on Wednesday Ive put about 60 miles on the car and just cant stop smiling. You guys will love the process and be driving before you know it!! Congrats again on the orders!
