    1997 Mustang Cobra radiator question

I was trying to install the radiator again this weekend. I am using the Breeze automotive Hinge and bottom support. The first time I tried it I found it difficult to attach the bottom of the radiator. After that I decided to try and use Breeze Automotives upper and lower and then realized I had the radiator upside down. Now that I have it in the correct direction I can not get the radiator to fit due to the bottom left pieces of the radiator(IN RED) is to wide. Has anyone else who used this radiator had this problem? Due to my limited knowledge of radiators my question is can I cut the lower left protruding piece off? Is it just a mounting piece of plastic or does it do something else? Thanks in advance if anyone know the answer.

It appears to be the drain for the radiator. Can't cut that off. Some of the plastic might be able to be trimmed, but I'd be very careful not to trim something important. HTH.
