I guess I should start of this thread with "I love my wife!"
I have talked with Jerry from Stewart Transport and my Hot Rod is on the truck and on the way. I am the first one off the truck and then two more deliveries in Texas before heading towards the west coast. The two other Texas deliveries are down south west of Houston). He said he is shooting for a Saturday drop off for me.
In the mean time I am getting the garage ready. I have been cleaning and the wife wanted me to put up more shelves in the garage for storage. I have a three car garage with 12 foot ceilings and really only one set of shelves that go up that high. Now I will have several more as I have added two 12' long shelves over my bench and will be adding three more to the side wall.
While shopping for all of the shelf materials my wife came across the tool boxes. She decided that since my birthday was in June that I needed a new tool box for the garage. Who am I to argue with SWMBO? So we went home and I did some research and on Monday I rented a truck and came home with this.
It's a Kobalt which is a Lowe's brand I think. But it is more than what I need right now. It's 41" wide and 63.5" tall and has 20 drawers that can each hold 100 pounds.
Another nice feature is both the base and the top chest have a power strip built in that each have three electrical outlets and two USB ports. Should be able to power a few tools for me without having to run extension cords all over the floor.
Sadly I could not start filling it right away because when I unpacked the base I found a big dent on the side at the bo. I called the Lowe's store and they are sending a truck tomorrow morning to drop off a new one and to pick this one up. I did not want to fill the top chest with tool to have to unload it to put it onto the new one. It's something like 160 pounds without any tools in it.
Excuse the mess in the photos... Between unpacking the tool box and moving everything around for putting up the shelves the garage looks like a bomb went off in it.
