    Finding frame center?

How did you guys locate the centerline of your frame?

How did you locate center line of the body? Then did you line the two centers up?

Obviously you measure the width of the chassis at several points and divide by 2. Once you find the centerline; center punch these points or better yet drill a small hole (⅛" or thereabouts) for a permanent witness mark. I have five center points on mine. The body is a bit more difficult as there is nothing symmetrical about the body. However, I did find three center points on mine and marked them then aligned the body with the chassis before drilling holes to mount the body. The chassis center points will come in handy when setting up the chassis and suspension. The body is another story. Since I built my chassis it was a real challenge to make a warped body fit a straight chassis with a full roll cage.
