So what are the thoughts on the Avon CR6ZZ 15 inch tires? Obviously they are expensive but it looks like they are the correct size and the best performing tire.
So aside from the cost I would appreciate some opinions on this tire. Thank you!

You are right; Great performing tire! Very expensive!

I think if I had a stronger budget those would be what I get. Low treadlife though. Depends on what you are after I suppose. If you plan on a decent amount of track time you really can't do any better than the Avons.

Could you possibly run Hoosier Dirt or Asphalt Track tires?

I know they aren't DOT certified, but they do come in a few different sizes that might work on the rear and be sticky enough to plant the car pretty well.

As a followup, since I'm the OP:

I ended up getting the BFGoodrich T/A for my mainly street vehicle. A not about 15" pin drive wheels. When you take them in to get mounted, DON'T take the whole car. Just the rims and tires. Installers don't like the liability involved with spinners. I got turned away from 2 shops. When I brought back just the rims and tires they had no objection to mounting and balancing the tires.

The 15" Billboards are not a radial tire, or have they started to make them in radials?
