Suggestions for seats with head support for roadster

I just bought a FF MK4 and would like a safer more comfortable seat with a small headrest. Prefer something not too tall. Any suggestions?

Very happy with my Kirkey high backs. I got the ones ffr sells. They come from them in the 16" inner width. Summit sells them cheaper and with other widths. The 17" will fit. Keep in mind with this seat you need to bend the outside shoulder bolster to fit it around the body. Easy to do and not a big deal. I also purchased lumbar supports and mounting brackets from summit. I have quite a bit of detail about installing them in my build thread linked in my signature. Post #1 has a list of what post numbers to look at.

Thanks for your response. I was looking for something that would not be quite as tall as the Kirby race seat. Do you or anyone know how much space there is between the original seat at the base and the door or transmission housing. I found a seat but it seems to be a bit wider at the base that the original roadster and need to know if it might fit.

Kirkey will make custom changes for an extra cost. https://www.kirkeyracing.com/page/FAQ#13

I don't know if these will fit in a MK-4 Roadster, but a friend of mine has them in his 1966 Mustang and they are quite nice.

You can get them in leather, vinyl or fabric.

There are a few alternatives. Cobra clubmans may suit your tastes. Someone even installed Miata seats in a Cobra once. What about getting the classic low backs and make a headrest? There are a number of posts on how to do it and one even has all the parts specified. That latter thread was on the other forum I believe.

Other options: Street Performers, Sparco Speed2 (I think that is the model).

If you are looking for headrest that can be added to the FFR seats, here is one idea.

    Here is another.

I'm sure there are a lot more that can be found with a Google search.

Has anyone used these? I like the look, but am not sure if they'll fit.
