I'm using a power steering pump with a remote reservoir and trying to determine where to mount the reservoir. In hindsight I should have gotten a shorter tank because the -10AN return to the pump sits slightly lower than the pump input but that's another story. Anyhow, I'm concerned that my chosen location will get in the way of the hood hinges and gas struts when I get to that point. I can mount the hinges to make sure there is room, but I have no idea where the struts will end up.

Sorry for the poor pictures, but can anyone offer guidance on whether this location will cause an issue later on? I was either going to mount the reservoir to the f-panel with ~1/2" spacers to allow the brake line space between the f-panel and the reservoir, or build an additional panel that goes on the inside of the 3/4" tubing. Thoughts?

Anyone have pics of a similar remote reservoir mounted there? How about pics of how the hinges and gas struts lay when the hood is down?

Thanks for any help!
