    WERC Round #3

    WINNER!

It was another good race with the second place Truspeed Porsche trading the lead with the FFR PDG GTM for the first hour or so about 3 or 4 times. The Porsche ended up having to pit before us, but then during our stop there was a fueling issue and we didn't get all the fuel in. It was going to be a nail biter all the way to the end but the Porsche got busted for passing under yellow and had to serve a 5 minute penalty which pretty much took them out of the race for the lead.

Next race is a double points 6 hour race in Utah, where anything can happen.

How much fuel did you have left at the finish?

Great race! I was wondering what happened to the Porsche. We pulled our two cars out last Wednesday because of the heat. Nice win.

The heat really wasn't that bad. It was overcast most of the day so it didn't get unbearably hot. Still hot, for sure, but not deadly hot.

After the Porsche came in for the 3rd time we decided we should do a splash and dash. We added a couple of gallons and ran slower lap times to conserve fuel and had no issues. Haven't got the car out of the trailer yet, but I am sure we had a couple of gallons to spare.
