Neighbor across the street is doing a '33 build...this has only rekindled my dream to build a Cobra.
I plan to read more and post little, but wanted to say Howdy and I can't wait to join in on the fun.

Welcome! I'm building an 818s in Houston right now. Seriouly concidering a 65 Coupe next.
I'm changing my mind faster than the weather changes here, but my second choice behind the Cobra would be the GTM.
I have to have the V8 noise in my project car. I know it's silly, but it must be obnoxious.
Welcome, Scap!

The sound of a Good Old Fashion American V8 is neither silly, nor obnoxious.

Do your research and order your car when you are ready.

PS: Even if you put a Chevy in it.

I do trust you.
Would love to use a Coyote, but a big block just seems right.
If you are looking for an FE engine, then Hottrodder427 (Donnie) has a running 390 that he might part with for the right price.
It is a 4 barrel engine and still sitting in a Mid-1960 T-Bird that he was planning to pirate for a future build.
An FE/BBF truely makes for a period correct MK-4 unlike some people we know this forum; namely ME!

I haven't even submitted drawings to the city to add two more stalls on my garage....much as I'd love to buy an engine now, I have no room at this time.
I figure I'm a good year out before the fun starts. Right now, I'm in the learning phase.
