    My 17th build!

Well add me to the list! This is my first 289, but my 17th FFR build. The frame is being custom made for me at the factory and will be the first, and possibly only version of this car the factory is making. Not that anyone couldn't copy it if they wanted.

Already have the motor and rear end. Gonna run 18/19" Michelin Pilot Sports 2 that I have only two laps on in my C7 Corvette.

Gonna need to get a tremec from Forte.

    Full containment seat.

    Schroth harness (for driver..."me")
    Race wheels probably from Forgestar
    Not sure about brakes yet.

Gonna be a winter build....too busy UTV racing right now :-)

Painting in Corvette Grand Sport blue with white stripes and red novice slashes like this:

If they are putting Chevy Mounts to go with that Chevy Corvette Grand Sport Blue it will have my vote.

It is being built in "spec racer format. BUT the driver's side is getting the door bars, the driver's single hoop is getting the rear support and the petty bar is going in and all being welded in. The passenger side door will be functional. Because of the "weaker " passenger side we are installing the Mk4 tunnel bracing. Frame will be white.

Form Is Following Function & This Will Be One Truly Unique Build!

You've got my vote with our without Chevy engine mounts.

I heard a great quote at an autocross a few weeks ago: "I hope that, after I die, my wife doesn't sell all of my stuff for what I told her I paid for it!"

What are you going to use for an engine Gary? The 289 just screams WEBERS but I could see a bullet-proof Coyote motor for track use.

I scored a recently built FFR 302 "spec" motor. AKA trick flow heads and intake, bigger TB, bigger injectors and the computer is already tuned. As it was being built Jim called to inform me that to leave it so that the passenger's side door could open that the majority of the spec race frame stiffeners could not go in because a lot of them tie into the passenger's side front post where the hinges normally mount so I ended up going ahead and added the passenger side door bars but not the "double" halo so it still has that single loop setup behind my (the drivers) head. Looks awesome with the all white frame and aluminum. Hoping to install the engine "pack" maybe next weekend.

Everything you told me about the car, a few weeks ago at SEMA, sounds so cool. How about some pictures Gary?
