    AODE Advice Requested

    I'm building the '33, and have used the engine, AODE, and rear end from a '94 Mustang GT HO 5.0L. When the AODE was removed from the donor car, only a portion of the wiring harness was left. No computer to hook the wiring harness to. Where do I go to get the part(s) to get this AODE up and running?

    Are you leaving the engine EFI? If so I'd recommend splitting the harness systems. Power the engine with a separate EFI harness like those from FFR, Ford Racing, or RJM Injection (and use the earlier ECM, 94 and 95 Mustang ECMs have some crazy strategies in them).

    For the AODE look into the stand alone controller from Performance Automatic. No laptop, just a selection of knobs to turn to control shift points, etc. Really slick unit for electronic controlled transmissions like the AODE. www.performanceautomatic.com. It's called the Smart Shift.

    Thanks for the response Mark. I am leaving the engine EFI, but switching to the Powerjection III system.

    Appreciate the information Wayne. Checked out their website and it is packed with information. Just what a guy who doesn't know what he is doing needs. Price seems reasonable too.

    Tim;
    I'm a long way from being on the road but I'm going with a 351W, PowerJection III, 4R70W, Lokar shifter, and Baumann Optishift. Take a look at Arrowhead's 33 build. He's got a 4R70W with a Lokar shifter and Baumann controller.
    Good Luck,
