    Fuel Filler Grounding Strap Location

This weekend I put the body back on and am starting to hook everything up so I can begin driving the car and work out any kinks. I went to remove the duct tape off the fuel filler and install the remaining parts and noticed there is no exposed frame that the 6 inches or so gold grounding strap will reach, just the aluminum panels. Am I missing something? Anyone have pictures or a good explanation of what they did? As always I appreciate all the help.

    Thanks,
    Mark

Dang, the filler is supposed to be grounded??? The one on my 2005 MkII isn't grounded. I was just working on it 30 minutes ago so it's still here.

I drilled out one of the rivets that hold the aluminum to the frame next to the filler and tapped the hole. It reached just fine.
