    FFR 818R for sale

So I took the plunge and bought a boat. Time, money and resources (actually mainly my wife) won't allow me 2 big boy toys so the 818 has to be sold. It hurts i tell you, it hurts.

    The reason:

    The car:

Please see the attached link for bidding:

Brando, do you have corner weights or total weight I can post in the weights thread? I'm asking not only for the general knowledge of the community but for myself, I'm thinking of bidding on your car.

Also, does it still have the dry sump? In some pics on eBay it does and some it doesn't. And the listing says Killer B pickup and baffle.

The listing is correct with the Killer B. The one image with the Sump was to illustrate the bracing for the wing. I took the sump out around 6 months ago.
While i never took corner weights I did have it weighed at an Autox event. It came in at 2025 with the sump and 3/4 tank, so i venture it's closer to 2000 now.

    Thanks,
Do you still have the DS parts and will you include them in the sale?
And I'll add your weight to the Post your weights thread. Is the 2000Lbs with the driver?

I wish it was with driver. I weigh 250lb so that would be one light 818!
I won't be including the DS with the sale unfortunately. Another 818 builder picked up the DS last spring.

Can the driver's seat be mounted any lower? Your build thread images are all behind the new Photobucket block but I found this one on the eBay listing. I'm about your height at 6'4" and it appears that to pass the broomstick test the seat has to be quite a bit lower or the roll cage cut off and rebuilt much higher for me.

Can you post a link to your build thread images somewhere?
    Thanks.

Yes I can't believe photobucked screwed everyone with disabling 3rd party sharing. It would be hard for me to figure out which pictures i used in my thread, but would be happy to dig through and find what you are looking for.
I am 6'4 1/2 and weigh approx 250. I have passed several broomstick tests.
The seats are quite low, no slider. You could probably drop it another 1/2 at the most from where it is now.
I wonder if i can share my entire album on photobucket for you to go through. Let me look into that.
If i can't I am happy to pull a bunch down, but can only do so one at a time because photobucket is a PITA. Give me some direction and I can do that.

Ok It looks like i can share an album in photobucket. I have some personal pictures in there, nothing bad but just a heads up.
Have at it. You are gonna get frustrated with all their popups, They really blew it with their service.

Thanks Dave! How have you been?
I will back in the FFR community. I have my sights on a Type 65 Coupe-R. It will be several years down the road though, it is going to take that long to finesse Brandi to let me build another kit, for the time being I am converting to a river rat!

Wow, sucks I just missed the bidding. Usually on the other forum, happen to check here. Congrats on the purchase.

Brando, was it you I was talking to at willow springs in April? There was another brand cobra replica on fire that day, but I recall speaking with the owner of a car just like yours. I was likely the only Asian guy in a factory five cobra there.

I like your timing. Might coincide with my next? Let's chat soon.
