    Dash fitting

    Hi Guys,

This weekend I will be test fitting the body so I can mount the dash and the seats. I have been reading all the threads but there is one thing that is not clear. The rule of thumb is mounting the dash with about 3/16s of the hoop showing on the left and right, and the center of the dash is just about flush with the dash hoop.

Since my dash is already upholstered, does this guideline only apply to the bare aluminum? Or do I take the measurements including the added area of the vinyl.

I hope this question makes sense, apologies if I am not clear.

    Thanks!

Yes, to the aluminum.....You need to do the seats with the body on to save yourself the heartache of doing it over...da Bat
