I use Flickr to host my images, but you can use the provided Forum hosting tools:

My procedure: Under this dialogue box, bottom right corner, there is a "Go Advanced" button. When that opens up, there is a "Manage Attachments" button. When that opens, hit "Browse", select your folder and then files, then "Open", and once they are listed in the upload box, hit the "Upload" button.

The .JPG files have to be under a certain size. My camera is set to a large file size (4608 x 3546) so I keep a folder for smaller .JPG files. If I am going to use certain pictures, I resize them to 25% of the original (1152 x 864) and copy them to this folder for small pictures. Those are the one's I upload. I don't know what the max size is, but this size seems big enough for good visual detail, and small enough that this (and the other forum) allow uploads. It sounds like a pain to resize them, but now that I've done it a few times, it goes very quickly. I just use the MS Paint (Windows) program, and always use 25% for the resize.

Here's a sample. The post shows a thumbnail picture (at least it does in my browser), and you can select that to open it up to it's full size that was uploaded.

I usually hit the "Preview Post" button at the bottom right, and check/proof read the post before I hit the "Submit Reply" button.
If Brute Force doesn't work, you're not using enough of it.

Dave posted excellent instructions on how to use Flickr on the other forum: http://www.ffcars.com/forums/43-off-...um-flickr.html

    Hey Boat-

Thanks for walking us through the process. That seems way easier than what I have tried in the past. I appreciate the tutorial!

    Regards,

    Steve

My pleasure. There are probably other/better/different/easier methods, but this one works fast and painless for me. And I don't know why, but my pictures have never been rotated on upload like happens with some. It's a mystery.

As noted my Papa, embedding full size pics is explained in detail in this thread:
    http://thefactoryfiveforum.com/showt...tures-in-posts

Personally, I like to see the full size image in the post, so I don't have to click on it to see it. And by putting pics in an album, you can use the same IMG code across threads, even across forum domains. (use it to show an image on another forum, for example)

    Something to consider...
