    Current Update

Well, I haven't posted on the forums in a long time, due to using the FB threads, but here is a current update. Coyote Gen 3 is in. test ride is in the books. GPS has an issue with syncing correct time, and Speedhut is aware and assisting. In the process of mounting the seats w/o the body on using the Breeze seat mounts. (not sure a good idea). Just ordered the NRG quick release hub taking time on that. No leaks on the car (guess I got lucky). Need to order a tune from LUND.

Lund tune requires extensive driving using various scenarios they will provide. Including wide open throttle (WOT) hits. No way I'd attempt that in the go-kart stage. Your engine is running. Go with that until you're done and legal. Then order up and complete the tune. No, not a good idea to mount the seats without the body. The fit is tight and you need the body there for reference. Unless you like do-overs. Congrats and getting to this stage.

Congrats! Sounds great. I also ordered the Gen 3 Coyote. I look forward to getting to that stage someday.

x2 on Paul's suggestion regarding delaying Lund tune. I have just been through that process with my completed roadster. One of the tests required 7,000rpm in highest gear possible. Even in 2nd gear I was at 135kph! So, I would not think it wise, or even really possible to pull this off sans body / windscreen. There would be so many ways for the constabulary that they just wouldnt be able to resist.

Something to look forward to though; The Lund tune really got my motor running like it should. It now has more grunt than a pig sty.

    Cheers,

    Nigel
