New end table for shop sitting area

I found an old developmental / evaluation wheel for the current GT350R on eBay recently, complete with a Michelin Cup 2 tire and decided it'd make a cool end table for my shop's sitting area. A piece of round glass from a local shop and some interior trim windlace to protect the edge and.... there you have it.

Pretty cool, as it still has the Carbon Revolution and Ford decals on the inside surface of the barrel denoting it as an engineering part and some of the paint is rubbed off the outer surface of one of the spokes, exposing the carbon fiber weave.

    Later,
    Chris

    Steve,

Given your recent issues, perhaps something like this is appropriate?

Dang, tough crowd. Sorry Steve, but Dave does have a point - it's a shame to throw out cool stuff that has outlived its useful life.

I think the wheel table is a great idea from the find! I need a better sitting area before I can pull that off.

Here's what I did with an engine from a 2002 Nissan Sentra SE-R Spec V that I owned:

    Chris-

That's a great table! It looks good, and is perfect for the garage.

    Dave-

WOW, that's a heck of a shot! I think Steve is probably still wiping the blood off his nose... Ouch!! HAHA

    Regards,

    Steve

My comment wasn't intended to be a sucker punch. Steve, I hope you didn't take it that way.

"Honey, can you get the hoist? I want to do the vacuuming."

    Nice pieces everyone.

NO pictures, but there's an annual car show in St. Albert, (Alberta Canada) that give away pistons/rods as show trophies. The units are welded so the rod stands up straight. They are powder coated and the round crank opening contains a plaque insert with the award details. Super cool.
