    Windscreen Fit

Help, with the outside frames pushed in as far as possible the middle 2 feet of rubber seal doesn't make contact with the body, suggestions?

    Jeff,
The posts line up with the 4 holes in the mounting brackets on the frame??

You will have to work the opening in the fiberglass for the posts. I used a simple file to elongate the opening. Also filed the ends of the opening so they where on the same angle as the windshield posts. Like Jeff said, this will allow the angle to be adjusted and eliminate that gap.

Assuming that the body is in it's final position, tied down at all 4 corners and under doors?

Search for w/s specs. I have seen an angle spec and also a distance from top center of w/s to the center of the rear cockpit edge. The distance spec is easiest to use as you cut notches in the ends of a 2x4 at the right length and the 2x4 just lays in position holding the w/s at the right angle.

To make it easy, use the specs for the F5 premium soft top. For a MKIV, you want 27" from the top of the rear door opening to the top screw of the wind shield post (0:38 into the middle video here: http://www.factoryfiveparts.com/1519...ible-soft-top/).

EDIT: You can reach the video directly by going to the web page for F5's parts, searching for "soft top", and clicking the one for your particular Roadster model.

I elongated the slots and the fit improved tremendously, I haven't been able to open the video but appreciate the information! Thanks to all!
