Cobra Paint shops in Atlanta Area

hello roadsters, I am planning to remove my MK IV body and send it to paint.

Can anyone here recommend a professional paint shop with experience in painting Cobras?

    Thank you,

Whitby all the way. They are about the only ones that have their own frame and can do the bodywork concurrently while you build your car. Otherwise most small shops need it to be on the frame. Whitby did a spectacular job on my car.

I know a guy in Atlanta that does great work I would trust to do the car. Jeff Embrey at Embrey's customotive. 678-364-1807
Jeff is on the southside in Tyrone. He has done excellent work for me on previous projects. I spoke to him about doing my Cobra. He said he would need the entire car for 6 months. I liked the idea of building the car while Whitby did the bodywork better and the timeline was more pleasing with Whitby so I went with them.

If you are not in a rush and really want it done in Atlanta call Embrey.

There's a shop in Gainesville/Oakwood ... I think it's called 985 collision, just off of 985 at Hwy 53. They have worked on several of our local Cobras.

I had my Challenge Car repainted at Rodfather's Collision in Greensboro, GA but I was their first Cobra. They did a really nice job and I'm very happy with their work.

BTW, Whitby's does excellent work but they have a long backlog so expect a lengthy wait.

It's been a long time, but let me see if i can find the name of the guy that painted my Mk3 about 12 years ago when i lived in the Atlanta area. I did all the body work through primer and he did a final primer, sand, color, clear, and buff.
