    First Start

For months, I have been telling people that it’s one good day away from starting. I've been saying that for so long that I stopped believing it myself. But this weekend, I finally got that one good day. And it actually started on the first crank! No leaks, no problems other than a very squeaky belt.

...And, as sweet as those Gas-N pipes sound on the video, they sound way better in person!

Congratulations! I kind of got tired of people asking "how's the car coming?" I felt like I could finally call it a car after I got it started. Well done. Your vidiographer get points for knowing what to say as well.

CONGRATS!!! Good stuff. First Crank. When mine started, I was also in disbelief that it worked.

    Boyd,

You should be pretty close to starting up, what's left to do? BTW - I'd like to get a look at your dash and lower switch panel sometime.

Awesome job - and a great video, too!!! These threads are a great incentive to all of those guys out there working towards that day.

When I was in the build process, I finally just started telling everyone that it'd be done in "two weeks".... no matter how long it was really going to be. Most finally got the joke and stopped asking when it'd be done.
    Later,
    Chris

    David,

I haven't been keeping up with the the forum this past 6 months or so. I just checked out your build thread, tornados aside, it's looking good. How's the paint going and when do you pick up your car?

Don't know, I was there on Oct 6th and they said a month. We go to Disney next week so hopefully after we get back, they are very busy.

Your build is coming along good have you picked out a painter yet? If your going to use Whitby take the body down there as soon as possible, I think they are pretty backed up.
