Trying to find tires for a Daytona I am building. Seems like the recommended sizes by FFR leave little choice unless you go super high performance. Has anyone found a decent set of tires in these sizes?
245/45/17
315/35/17
Thanks Mike

Nitto works the best for me. Shop around sometimes you can get a good buy on them.
Hi Mike!
Check out Nitto 555-G2; decent street tire at a not too outrageous price. If you check around you might find some of the original Nitto 555 (which was superceeded by the G2 about a year ago) still in stock at a discounted price. On the roadsters I actually prefer to use 255/40-17 if they're available (better fit a 9" rim)---I'd expect that you could do the same on the Coupe.
Cheers,
Jeff

Mike,
I've run NITTO's on my daily driver for years and have been happy with them and am on my 3rd or 4th set.
My daily driver has 255/45-17's up front with 285/40-17's out back, which are the same height & stock sizes for the car.
Our project has 245/45-17's with the same 285/40-17's on the MK-4.
If you do 275/40-17's up front with 315/35-17's out back it would yield the same height, where the 255/40-17's would give you some rake.
Also, my son's car has 255/40-17's up front with 275/40-17's out back, but those are Cooper's and I don't think they come in 315's.
Anyway, I do like my NITTO's and intend to keep buying them as needed.
Steve
