I'm finding it hard to push the CV axel into the differential. It stops about 3 inched from what the manual suggests. How much pressure can I use? Can I hammer it?

I bumped mine with a dead blow hammer. Follow the instructions to make sure you have the proper shaft in each side. Engage the splines and push the axle in. Make sure the the inner joint is compressed all the way. It moves in/out unlike the outer joint. Then with the shaft straight, bump it with a dead blow. It should click in.

"Left" and "Right" always refer to that side of the car while facing forward. Page 21 of the IRS instructions http://www.factoryfiveparts.com/cont...2-2015-irs.pdf shows the difference between the two CV axles. That by itself isn't going to explain why yours are stopping three inches before seating though. Sounds like you don't have the splines quite lined up. But once you get them ready to seat, if you have them backwards, they won't seat properly if on the wrong sides. Don't use the dead blow hammer I described or any other extra force except for the last inch or so. That's when they click in. Should be pretty free up to there.
