    A couple of dumb questions

    1. What is the shift pattern on the Tremec TKO 600? My clutch isn't hooked up yet and I don't want to start banging through the gears.

    2. My FAST EFI setup uses a water temp sensor and that is already installed in the manifold. Since it is wired directly into the harness that plugs into the computer, I assume I will want to run the water temp sensor that came with my gauges separately?

    3. What's the best way to test my gauge lighting? I have a Power Probe and assumed if I powered the battery feed and pulled the headlight switch out that I would see the lights come on on the gauges.

    1. TKO600 shift pattern: 1 - 3 - 5 across the top. 2 - 4 - R across the bottom. Neutral in the center.

    2. Don't know for certain. But my sense would be keep them separate.

    3. With the battery connected, the gauge lights should work with the headlight switch in the first and second positions. Make sure the headlight knob is twisted clockwise in order the light the needles. The knob for the Speedhut inverter also needs to be turned up for the backlighting.

    With respect to your water temperature sensor, yes; you must use a separate sensor to feed your gauge. These sensors measure resistance, so connecting two loads to the same sensor results in faulty measurements.

    In order for the Speedhut gauge face lights to illuminate, you have to do three things: (1) Pull the headlight switch out so that at least the running lights come on, which will cause your needles to illuminate, (2) turn the headlight switch counter clock wise just a bit, and (3) adjust the dimmer dash pot that came with your gauges so that they light.

    2 absolutely a separate sensor for each. Put the eif sensor where you feel it will give the most accurate reading especially before the t-stat opens

    When I am testing circuits, I use a battery charger instead of a battery. The low amps will not cook the wires if anything is wrong.

    Thanks for the responses. I did get the gauges to light up as they should. I also installed the second water temp sensor. More updates on my progress today in my build thread.
