Header coating?

I am new to this, so be easy on me. I have a 2009 Type 65 (Gen 2) kit I purchased used and would like to know how the headers (FF 302 headers) come from the factory. They have some type of protection on them and the PO did nothing to them (it looks like silver paint). I am going to have the side pipes Jet Hot coated and will Jet Hot the headers too if necessary. Thank you.

Back in 2009, there were ceramic coated headers available from FFR, as an option.
