Small Block Chevy Parts For Sale
Ladies & Gentlemen,
Here are some parts that will NOT be going in my new Dart SHP Small Block.
Prior to the engine springing a leak, the car had about 35 miles on it and had received a total of 3 oil changes, not including the final purge.
No damage was done to any of these parts since only a very small amounts of water (less than a pint) entered the oil system prior to it being discovered.
Post block leak everything was drained and the block was flushed with fresh oil and filter.
The engine was then re-primed via an oil pump priming tool which included turning over the engine to purge the lifters.
Why are these parts for sale?
I'm upgrading the cam because the new block is designed to accept the later model stock roller set up.
The oil pan is being replaced because the Dart Block has the dipstick on the opposite side.
The M77 oil pump is considered to have too much volume for the Dart Block which uses primary oiling so only SBC standard volume standard pressure pumps should be used for wet sump application.
I've now purchased a Mellings Shark Tooth standard volume, standard pressure SBC pump as suggested by Dart.
The helical gear design of the Shark Tooth pump reduces the pulsing effect normally associated with a standard straight cut gear 5 tooth pump.
