New to the site and just got my Factory 5 Cobra

I just got my Cobra this weekend.
I bought the car from a 70 year old man that bought it from his best friend that built the Mk kit in 2003/4.
The car has 6,200 mile from the build date even though it is 14 years old.

Car looks as good as first day it was built, but I need to go through the entire car for possible issues.
I plan to add full bumpers front and back, drivers seat adjuster, and engine upgrades.

    Good times ahead!

Smart idea to go over everything.
Age can play a factor on rubber items, especially if they are all original still. Coolant and heater hoses, belts, fuel hose, even tires. Likewise with rad coolant, it can break down over time, and actually become corrosive..
It wouldn't hurt to check the torque on the suspension, and steering components. .
There is a torque spec list floating around on the FFCars forum. You can do a search for it there, or let me know, and I can e-mail you one.

Thanks all for answers, will look at the link for torque specs. I do have one question, looking for a F5 expert shop to go very car. Anyone know one in Orlando Florida?
