    Seat heaters

Has anyone put in seat heaters in the vinyl big and tall roadster seats? Im thinking about putting them in mine; that is if I can without butchering up the seat.

I just did mine, which were not the big and tall. However my kit is more recent and didn’t even use hog rings. It was very simple to do. Just need to get a good contact cement to reglue the lower seat cushion.

Once you start taking it apart it will become pretty clear.

The seat heaters will fit in either. The bottom cushion is a bit thinner on the big and tall seats (now the only version sold) but that doesn't affect how the seat heaters are installed.

No butchering required. Pretty easy install. Remove the bottom cushion from the seat. It's held in with velcro. Snip off the metal 'C' clips to expose the inside of the cushion and slide the heated seat element in place. Same for the seat back. Take the seat to an auto upholstery guy to have new clips installed.
