Hi Guys,
I was working on my front brakes last night. I went to put the Wildwood rotor hat on the driver's side FFR hub and noticed some interference. I couldn't get the rotor hat to seat flat against the hub. I did a quick measurement of the center pilot of the hub and the stud shaft diameters and compared them to the holes in the rotor hat. My measurements indicate the holes should be big enough for the shafts, so the issue must be the position of the hole and the shafts. I suspect one of the pressed in studs is off a bit, causing things to bind. The passenger side went together great. If I tightened the rotor hat to the hub with the wheel nuts, I think it would go all the way, but I may never get the hat off if I do that. I thought about it over night, now I'm leaning towards filling a little material out of the rotor hat stud holes (not the center pilot hole) to get it to slip down onto the studs. Has any one ran into this before? Am I going the right direction? Stop me if this will ruin the rotor hat.
Thanks in advance!
