I will absolutely put Megan on my prayer list. You are so correct about people of faith being on this forum but I believe God listens to all our prayers so wether we profess faith or not we can all ask for the Almighty’s help here. All my best to you and you’re family.

    Hi Steve,

All my best wishes and prayers for Megan. My daughter was recently diagnosed with the same condition. She's a tough fighter as well.

    Thanks All,

Please know that I did speak with Father Charles, the Principal at the school where Megan teaches and followed up with him via E-Mail today so he's now in the loop regarding her condition.
Also, a member of this forum has reached out to me, who is a surgeon, so that I could better understand the disease and the treatment of it.
Will keep you all posted and thank you all for praying for my oldest baby girl.

The scan was done today, but we won't get results until later.
They did let her go home so my wife stayed with her until our Son In Law came home from work.
She's been on antibiotics for a few days which seems to be helping.

    UPDATE:

    > I want to thank everyone who has been praying my oldest daughter Megan.
    > She has been seeing several specialists and seems to be responding well and is now well enough to be back at work.
    > In addition, please know that Megan was found to be with child, something the doctors think may work in her favor.
    > From what we understand many times women with U.C. that become pregnant go into remission.
    > Also, my baby girl has always wanted to be a Mom so hopefully all will work out.
    > Again, thank you all for your prayers.

    Jazzman,

She's improving and seeing all sorts of specialist since she is with child.
We'll be seeing her tomorrow so that's when I'll get to put my eyes on her to see how she's looking.
I'll update this prayer thread as soon as we get home from Midnight Mass tomorrow.

    GDG,
Just saw the thread and finished reading it. Will add Megan and grand baby to our prayer list as well as the rest of your family. He works in strange ways, the little one must be blessed to have been there at the right time for Megan to mend. Hope all is improving as of this writing, Anthony

    UPDATE:

Megan seems to be improving and is back at work as of today. (English Teacher & Swim Coach)
She told me this evening that her inflammation is improving; however, she is now with morning sickness.
The good news is that she stated that her appetite is getting better so we are crossing our fingers in addition to praying.

Steve - Megan, her family, and her care givers remain in my prayers. Congratulations on the good news about the baby, too - God always finds a way to work his mysteries. Not sure if you're in the KofC, but from this 4th degree, all my best to your family.
    Later,

Update: .. I know this is information that I shouldn't share, but you all are praying for her so I wanted to let you know where things stand.

    1. Megan had a proceedure today and things went well in spite of the fact that no anesthesia could be used since she is pregnant.
    2. The doctor was pleased because currently she is not as flared up like she was when my prayer request was started.
    3. She's about to complete the 1st trimester so today was great news to say the least.
    4. All in all, Megan is improving and moving in the right direction.

Thank You All For Your Thoughts & Prayers For My Oldest Baby Girl!

Thank You All For Your Continued Thoughts & Prayers!

Megan and her husband Nick hung out with my Mom this past Sunday and she even commented on Megan's continued improvement.
I talked to Megan this evening and she sounds good and is planning the banquet for her swim team which my wife will be assisting with.

    Thanks Again!
