    Front Shocks Shorter?

Hoping someone can set me straight here. Putting on the front suspension and see in the instructions that the front shocks should be shorter than the rear. Checked all four and they are all exactly the same shock. All Koni 30 1720. However, 3 say 14-2017 and 1 says 17-2017. This doesn't sound right to me. I'll give a call to FF tomorrow but was hoping someone might have some input for me tonight before I get too deep into this.

    Thanks!
    Rob

My MKV kit was ready on July 31 of this year (2017). I have 30-1720 shocks on the front and 30-1721 on the rear. The rear are larger than the front set. I wonder if it matters which rear end setup you have? I have the three link.

Jeez, second today. Please put some car details in you signature line. The type of rear suspension makes a difference here.

Thanks, I have the IRS so will not worry about the shocks. I looked through the manual and couldn't find anything that said the shocks were the same. But noticed how the called out the difference in the height. I probably just missed it though. Trying to spend more time working and less time reading. But maybe I should switch that around!

CraigS. Sorry about not indicating my details. For those of us still relegated to "Jr" status, we can't do anything about our signature line. Waiting for the upgrade to Sr. status so I can take care of that.

Sorry, I didn't realize that. I am glad you have now hit the magic number.
