    Handbrake Cables

    Good Morning

Im running my handbrake cables, standard rear calipers on my axle 3 link , round the back of the shocks etc

But not sure where to go as the length doesn't seam right

I have 2 holes in the chassis by the tunnel which the outer cables can slot into but the inner isn't long enough to reach the lever clevis on the lever

I also have a bracket in the kit, not listed in the build Manuel where to fit it if its to do with the brakes but listed as a 'e brake cable mount' on my parts list so assuming i need that

Any pictures where everyone has mounted on the chassis please

the angle bracket mounts on the bottom of the floor and the cable sheath locks into the holes to hold the end of the cable the correct distance from the cable attachment point on the hand brake lever. The 2 holes in the frame could be used for the cables to run through although I did not use them. The e-brake cables come in various lengths depending upon which rear brakes and what year car the cables were selected for. The attachment of the bracket is shown on page 300 of the manual.

    Grusks,

I am building a Coupe right now.
When time came to install my e-brake cable I was puzzled because the fit was not right.
After a lot of searchs I sent an e-mail to FFR with pics of the cables.
They came back to me saying they sent me me the wrong ones. They sent me the right ones right away.
    Could this be your problem?

I ran the cables up the rear arms to the supplied bracket. Used these cables - raybestos bc95740

I'm not sure what the issue was gen 1, but there was a bunch of discussion about flipping calipers around... ignore that entirely. Use the Raybestos cables and factory bracket and it works flawlessly.

I got some good advice on e-brake cables. Here is the link to what I used. Take Sethmark's advice. https://www.rockauto.com/en/moreinfo...362743&jsn=968

The installation of the bracket is shown in the manual, my manual is Revision 3B on page 300. Shows exactly where and how to mount and uses at least bolt that extends through the e-brake handle to secure everything together.

No apology necessary. I probably didn't word my response very well. You gave me advice on the e-brake question and it was spot on.

I was confused also. Building mine with IRS and the 13" brakes. The cable routing guidance in my manual (3D) is not explained well for this configuration. I'm also not seeing the bracket and it's not explained in the manual either. My chassis looks just like Grusks picture. Any advice or pictures on how to route the ebrake cables on this IRS 13" brake configuration?
